Grameen Wick is a joint venture established by Wick, Corp. and the Grameen Group. Using digital technology and “positive impact advertisement”, we turn the advertising money that companies spend every day into a force that supports people’s access to food, learning and healthcare, and creates new opportunities. This social business starts in Bangladesh.

Mission

Our mission

ACHI

Advancing
Community &
Human
Impact

ACHI is Grameen Wick’s mission: bringing positive change to communities and people’s lives.

Every beginning.
Endless possibilities.

Through digital technology, Grameen Wick will promote improvements in quality of life and expand economic and social opportunities, contributing to sustainable and inclusive development in Bangladesh.

Our Approach

Three principles

Social Business01

Social challenges at the heart of the business

Guided by the social business principles advocated by Professor Muhammad Yunus, we build a business that itself solves social challenges, rather than relying solely on donations and aid.

Sustainable Cycle02

A cycle that keeps going

By drawing on corporate advertising, an everyday economic activity, we create social impact that is continuous rather than one-off.

Measured Impact03

Making social outcomes visible

We work to identify and evaluate the social outcomes our business creates, including benefits returned to users, access to education and healthcare, and expanded employment opportunities.

Business

What we do

Drawing on advertising, an everyday economic activity, we pursue three lines of business that expand opportunities and improve daily life in Bangladesh. Smartphone adoption continues to grow in Bangladesh, with government statistics for 2026 showing that approximately 75% of households own one. Grameen Wick builds on this digital infrastructure to connect essential everyday services with new economic and social opportunities.

Why it matters

Changing where
ad money goes

Estimated annual spending by Bangladeshi companies on overseas advertising

USD 500million

approx. JPY 80 billion

Ad money flows overseas and rarely reaches daily life

Much of the advertising budget of Bangladeshi companies is paid to overseas services. Grameen Wick redirects that money toward people’s learning and daily lives.

What just 1% of the ad money flowing overseas (about JPY 800 million) could doper year, estimate

  • approx. 18,700people

Skills training and job support for young people

  • approx. 3.28billion litres

    Safe drinking water

  • approx. 1.47million visits

    Out-of-pocket support for outpatient care

Figures are estimates. How points can be used will be decided together with partners.

What we do

Three pillars

Positive impact advertising platform

A new digital platform that links corporate advertising with the creation of social value, returning advertising money to users’ daily lives.

Access to essential services

Points returned to users expand access to healthcare, education and essential goods, easing household costs and improving quality of life.

Employment and skills support

We provide information on vocational training and job opportunities and connect jobseekers with sending agencies and communities, supporting employment and economic independence at home and abroad.
